297 English source terms with their equivalents in the ten other official South African languages. On the eve of the 2010 FIFA World Cup, the list was developed from a long-existing soccer terminology list compiled in 1982. The South African Football Association assisted with determining the relevance and comprehensiveness of the term list. Specialists were recruited to develop equivalents and the public was given the opportunity to make comments on these. Please contact the National Language Service for usage conditions.
