Grievances of security employees at BPP Construction

The employee salary is too low and yet when they were hired the agreement was that they would be paid R1800.

The foreman treats the employees badly and is not interested in their grievances.

The foreman always tells the employees about equipment/clothing that goes missing, implying theft on the part of the security employees.

The foreman always tells the employees that there are other people patrolling other than the security employed to do so.

The employees need proper working gear such as rain suits and other safety-related equipment.

The foreman does not want to pay for overtime work on Sundays and does not even give reasons.

The workers want to know the reasons for the foremans unwillingness to acknowledge and engage with the elected committee in place.

The workers do not get time off work.

We would like to get help as soon as possible before things get out of control.

We would also like for you to come as soon as possible because all the employees have complaints.

We therefore request a quick response because we are not making any progress in our work.
