AMAPHAPHU abantu abane-asthma awezwani nezinto eziningi ezitholakala emoyeni. Lokho kuzwela kwawo kuvala imigudu yokuphefumula kungaphefumuleki kahle.
Uma umuntu ongenayo i-asthma engena egumbini elinezintuli akabi nankinga kodwa uma kungena umuntu onalesi sifo kulelo gumbi angagula.
Amazinga okugadla kwalesi sifo ayashiyana, kwabanye asibi mandla kakhulu kanti kwabanye siba mandla. Abanye abantu abanaso, kungenzeka bangazweli kakhulu uma behlangana nezinto ezingasiqubula kanti abanye bangazwela.
Kuningi okungenza umuntu ahlaselwe yi-asthma.
Kulezo zinto singabala: isiqedaphunga, uboya bezilwane ezifuywa ekhaya, (noma ukuba seduze kwaleso silwane), intuthu kagwayi noma yomlilo, izitshalo, izimbali, izimpaphe, izintuli, ukushintsha kwesimo sezulu, ukuzivocavoca ngokweqile, i-stress nezinye izifo.
Izimpawu ze-asthma
Udokotela wakho kuphela ongabona uma uphethwe yilesi sifo kodwa bheka lezi zimpawu ezilandelayo:

ukukhwehlela, ikakhulu ebusuku
ukunqamuka komoya
ukucinana kwesifuba
ukukhathala uma uzivocavoca.

Ukuzivikela
Abantu abane-asthma bangaphila impilo ejwayelekile uma begwema izinto ezenza bahlaselwe yilesi sifo basebenzise nemithi yabo ngendlela efanele.
Abantu abane-asthma kufanele baqaphele babheke izimpawu zalesi sifo. Kubalulekile ukuzazi izinto ezenza ukuba uhlaselwe yilesi sifo ukuze uzigweme.
Uma usutholile ukuthi yini eyenza sikuhlasele, gwema izinto ezikudalela sona. Ukuhlala uphilile kukuvikela ezifweni eziningi...
Phuza amanzi kakhulu udle izithelo nama-veg afreshi.
Zivocavoce kodwa ungazikhandli kakhulu. (Qiniseka ukuthi umzimba wakho uyafudumala ubuye uphole kahle emva kokuzivocavoca.)
Ungahlali nabantu abanomkhuhlane noma imfiva.
Hlanzeka, geza izandla ukuze uzivikele emagciwaneni.
Ikhaya lakho malingabi nezintuli, hlanza u-carpet nemibhede usule phansi njalo.
Ukwelashwa
Uma sekutholakele ukuthi unalesi sifo uyatshelwa ukuthi yini engakusiza uma sikuhlasela. Ozokwelashwa ngako kuzoya ngokuthi isifo simandla kangakanani kuwena. Okungakusiza okusetshenziswa kakhulu nokusebenzayo ekwelapheni i-asthma yiphampu (inhaler), kodwa ungelashwa nangemithi ephuzwayo noma welashwe nge-inhaler nemithi ephuzwayo.
Kusemqoka ukuthi abanalesi sifo basebenzise imithi yabo ngendlela abayalwe ngayo baqiniseke ukuthi abazelapha ngako kuhlale kuseduze.
Zimbili izindlela zokwelashwa kwabane-asthma: ukuzivikela nokuyidambisa.
Ukuzivikela kwehlisa izinga lokwakheka kwezilonda esifubeni kungabi lula ukuthi i-asthma ikuhlasele. Sebenzisa okuzokuvikela nsuku zonke ukuze kusebenze kahle.
Okokudambisa lesi sifo kuthathwa njengosizo lokuqala ekwelapheni izimpawu noma ukuhlaselwa yilesi sifo. Kubuye kusize ngokuvula imigudu yomoya ohlaselwe yilesi sifo aphefumule kalula. [z]

Okuyiqiniso nge-asthma
