Access Rights

The Access Rights specify which Record fields, Index fields, Attribute fields and Sub-attribute fields should be available to which users and user categories when viewing, creating or editing a record.

 

 

Access Rights Overview

The Access Rights contain these sections:

 

1.Users and Categories

Select the User or User Category for which to set the access rights.

 

2.Assigned Projects

List the available projects as well as the projects assigned to this User/User Category. Use this section to add or remove projects to Users or User Categories.

 

3.Field selector

Select the type of fields for which to set the access rights.

 

4.Access Rights table

Lists all of the fields according to the type of fields selected in the Field selector. It also provides checkboxes for the different access rights (Read, Update, Export, Delete). Access rights are assigned for the selected User/User Category by checking the appropriate rights for the correct fields.

 

 

Access Control

 

The Administrator determines which registered users can edit and create records under specific projects and on specific fields.

 

When access rights are defined on a user category, those rights extend to each user of that category. The reverse is not true; when rights are defined for a specific user, those same rights do not apply to the other users of the same category.

 

The Autshumato TMS uses the following user access rights:

Read: Gives read access to the field. This means that this field will be visible when viewed in the Termbrowser.

Update: Gives the ability to update or edit this field.

Delete: This field can be deleted when editing a record.

Export: This field can be exported when exporting a list of terms.

 

 

Selecting a User Category on which to apply Access Rights

 

1.Select the "User Category" checkbox.

2.Select a User Category from the drop-down list of available User Categories.

 

 

 

Assign a project to a User Category

 

1.Select the project from the list of available projects.

2.Click the > button to add the project to the list of assigned project.

Note: To add all of the available projects, click the >> button.

 

 

 

Remove a project from a User Category

 

1.Select the project from the list of assigned project.

2.Click the < button to remove the project from the list of assigned projects.

Note: To remove all of the assigned projects, click the << button.

 

 

 

Assigning rights

 

1.Check the Record Fields checkbox.

2.All of the available Record fields will be shown in the Access Rights table.

3.Check the appropriate Read, Update, Export and Delete checkboxes for the appropriate record fields.

4.Check the Index Fields checkbox.

5.All of the available Index fields will be shown in the Access Rights table.

6.Check the appropriate Read, Update, Export and Delete checkboxes for the appropriate index fields.

7.Check the Attribute Fields checkbox.

8.Select an Index field from the "Access rights for Attribute Fields for" drop-down list displayed.

9.All of the available Attribute fields, for the selected Index field, will be shown in the Access Rights table.

10.Check the appropriate Read, Update, Export and Delete checkboxes for the appropriate attribute fields of the selected index field.

11.Repeat steps 8 to 10 for all of the required Index fields.

12.Check the Sub-attribute Fields checkbox.

13.Select an Index field from the "Access rights for a Synonym Field for" drop-down list displayed.

14.All of the available Sub-attribute fields, for the Synonym of the selected Index field, will be shown in the Access Rights table.

15.Check the appropriate Read, Update, Export and Delete checkboxes for the appropriate sub-attribute fields.

16.Click the Update button to apply the changes.

17.Wait for the system to display the success dialog.

18.The Access Rights have now been applied.
