User and Dates filter overview
1.Select user Here you specify the user on which you want to filter. If no user is defined, but at least one of the dates have been selected, the filter will find all of the records
2.Created/Changed/Create or Changed Created: By setting this parameter, the filter will find all of the records CREATED either by the specified user, or the specified date(s) or both. Changed: By setting this parameter, the filter will find all of the records CHANGED either by the specified user, or the specified date(s) or both. Created or Changed: Using this setting, the filter will select all of the records that were CREATED OR CHANGED by either the specified user, or the specified date(s) or both.
3.From date Set this option if you want to restrict records created or changed (depending on the option selected at 2) FROM a specified date. It will INCLUDE records created or changed on the specified date. A specific date is set by clicking on the
4.To date Set this option if you want to restrict records created or changed (depending on the option selected at 2) TO a specified date. It will NOT INCLUDE records created or changed on the specified date. A specific date is set by clicking on the
The user and dates filter panel depends on values set on the Fields filter panel: •If an Index field is defined on the Fields filter panel, all of the parameters set on the user and dates filter panel will apply to this index field. •When multiple Index fields are defined on the Fields filter panel, the parameters set on the user and dates filter will apply to the first defined index field. •If no index fields are specified, the parameters set on the user and dates filter will apply to a record in general, which means it will return all records that contain a field that was created or changed by a specific user or from/to/between specific dates.
By default, the selected source field is defined on the filter automatically.
The first two procedures indicate the difference between filtering on a record or on a specific index field.
Filter records changed by a User
1.Open the Filter dialog. 2.Click on the "Select Termbase" drop-down list and choose the appropriate Termbase. 3.Expand the User & Date filters by clicking on the 4.Select a user from the "Select user..." drop-down list. 5.Select the Changed parameter. Note: You can select either of the options available depending on the records you want to filter. 6.Click the Set filter button. 7.The filter will be set and all of the records that contain any field that were changed by the specified user will be returned.
The same procedure can be used to define a User filter for records "Created" or "Created or Changed".
Filter index fields created by a User
1.Open the Filter dialog. 2.Click on the "Select Termbase" drop-down list and choose the appropriate Termbase. 3.Expand the User & Date filters by clicking on the 4.Select a user from the "Select user..." drop-down list. 5.Select the "Created" parameter. 6.Expand the Field filters by clicking on the 7.Expand the Index Fields by clicking on the 8.Click on an Index Field to open the Filter Properties dialog. 9.Activate the field by checking the "This field filter is active" checkbox. 10.Specify the "Contains" and "AND" parameters. 11.Click the Close button on the Filed Properties dialog to close it. 12.Click the Set filter button. 13.The filter will be set and all of the records that contain the specific index field that was created by the specified user will be returned.
The same procedure can be used to define a User filter for records "Changed" or "Created or Changed".
Filter records changed from date
1.Open the Filter dialog. 2.Click on the "Select Termbase" drop-down list and choose the appropriate Termbase. 3.Expand the User & Date filters by clicking on the 4.Select the "Changed" parameter. 5.Click on the 6.Select the date on the displayed calendar. 7.Click the Set filter button. 8.The filter will be applied and only records that were changed on or after the specified date will be available in the Termbrowser.
The procedure could also be applied on specific fields instead of records.
Filter index fields created or changed from date
1.Open the Filter dialog. 2.Click on the "Select Termbase" drop-down list and choose the appropriate Termbase. 3.Expand the User & Date filters by clicking on the 4.Select the "Created or Changed" parameter. 5.Click on the 6.Select the date on the displayed calendar. 7.Expand the Index Fields by clicking on the 8.Click on an Index Field to open the Filter Properties dialog. 9.Activate the field by checking the "This field filter is active" checkbox. 10.Specify the "Contains" and "AND" parameters. 11.Click the Close button on the Filed Properties dialog to close it. 12.Click the Set filter button. 13.The filter will be applied and only records that contain the specified index field that was created or changed on or after the specified date will be available in the Termbrowser.
Filter records changed by User to date
1.Open the Filter dialog. 2.Click on the "Select Termbase" drop-down list and choose the appropriate Termbase. 3.Expand the User & Date filters by clicking on the 4.Select a user from the "Select user..." drop-down list. 5.Select the "Created or Changed" parameter. 6.Click on the 7.Select the date on the displayed calendar. 8.Click the Set filter button. 9.The filter will be set and all of the records that were changed by the user up until the specified date will be returned.
Filter record changed by User between dates
1.Open the Filter dialog. 2.Click on the "Select Termbase" drop-down list and choose the appropriate Termbase. 3.Expand the User & Date filters by clicking on the 4.Select a user from the "Select user..." drop-down list. 5.Select the "Created or Changed" parameter. 6.Click on the 7.Select the date on the displayed calendar. 8.Click on the 9.Select the date on the displayed calendar. 10.Click the Set filter button. 11.The filter will be applied and only records that were changed by the user between the specified dates will be available in the Termbrowser.
Note: The between dates filter includes the “From date” but does not include the “To date”.
