To make the Termbase that you have created with Autshumato TMS available in other software packages, you can export the Termbanks, projects or terms.
Before you are able to export terms, you must have export privileges (assigned by the Administrator) and the filter must be set to limit the records. If the filter has not been set, the Export function will not be available.
Different types of exports can be defined on the Export dialog.
Export dialog overview
1.Export As Here you specify the type of export:
TAB: This option creates a tab separated document for use specifically with the Autshumato ITE. This is a normal text document with each line containing a term. The lines further contain the source language term and target language term separated by a tab. To ensure a successful export, specify both the Index fields on the filter before attempting the export.
ODT: This type generates the export document as an OpenDocument text file in a basic glossary format.
TBX: This option generates the export document as a TermBase eXchange document, which is the standard for exporting, importing and transporting terms.
Depending on the type of export chosen, further options will be displayed in the Export dialog.
2.Filename This is where you specify the name of the export document. You cannot set the file name for a Field Template export type.
3.Generate Document Pressing this button will start the generation of the export document. Only press this button when you are sure all the additional fields have been selected and completed. Once the document generation is complete, the Download button will become available. Depending on the amount of records as well as the number of fields chosen for the export the generation of the document might take several minutes and sometimes up to several hours.
